Ok, so in Erak's Ransom one of the reasons Duncan let's Cassandra go to Arrida to negotiate is cause someone (Crowley I think?) says they'll respond to her well because the Arridi are a matriarchal society. But we never see that in any of the books? How are they matriarchal? Is there some spot that I missed?
De Grijze Jager = Dutch for Ranger’s Apprentice.
At the local bookstore they had these fancy maps of Araluen - yes I’m Dutch - and it’s so detailed and has all the fiefs with its castles and villages. It’s soooooo pretty.

Really dumb question, but please don't hate me for asking.
I am doing some pretty big world building for my fanfiction and need to know what the title is for the wife of a Wakir in Arrida.
I can't find anything online that could give me a hint. There are Dukes and Duchesses, Barons and Baronesses, Prince and Princesses. So it would be Wakir and what?
I can't, for the life of me, figure out where Flanagan got that word so I don't have anything to base it off of or to try to get any sort of clues.
My best idea is just changing one letter of Wakir so it's similar, but I just want to know if there is an actual title.
