I'm not sure of the source but I've seen some recent posts that the original plan for the final scene in 4x23 was to have Oliver be alone in the lair, however, GB decided late to add Felicity & enclose them in the ring. Many of us thought the symbolism was powerful regarding the endgame status of Olicity. If accurate, what do you make of the fact that the EP's original intent was not to have Felicity present in this scene? Do you think the EPs are ambivalent abt Olicity at this point? Thanks.

Hmmm that’s really interesting I haven’t heard that before. I think filming a tv show is a fluid thing. Ideas come at different points of the process. No, I don’t think the writers are ambivalent about Olicity at all. I think they are pretty set on them.
