Riley tends to bite her lick her lips when she’s nervous or thinking, though she usually isn’t aware she does it. She also has a scar on her upper lip, originating from a particularly nasty fight she got into a little while after she first arrived at the military school.
She’s a twiddler. She’ll toy with something, or tug at something, or just generally move her hands in some way, just to keep them doing something. She also has issues maintaining eye contact when she’s nervous, and will often look out a window, or at her hands, or the floor, or anything else other than someone’s face. And, when unable to leave a room entirely, she’ll pace.
When she was younger, she always looked forward to the small things her parents would save for her birthdays — candy and toys and the like — but, after meeting Ellie, she decided that anything they did together, whether it be exploring the mall, or just hanging out in the dorm, was enough for her. Not that she’d ever tell Ellie that — she’d never hear the end of it— but still. Either way, she always looks forward to her birthday. She has no problem with being the center of attention.
