Squirrel Point Light, Kennebec River, Arrowsic Island, Arrowsic, Maine. A couple of days before Christmas around 1920, a neighborhood dog insisted that Keeper Charles L. Knight follow him. The dog led Knight to a nearby hill with some old farm buildings. Gathered outside were five bucks, sporting large racks. When Knight told his family about it, the kids were convinced Santa was keeping his reindeer in the abandoned barn.
