Yet another day he could spend doing as he wished , or in that case going to purchase a book for a personal collection only to realise there was no mora on hand to do so. All too common it appeared. So Zhongli , after searching all pockets a tad bit desperately , excused himself from the merchant and wandered off a little. Stood in the open pondering about what to do. His home was not too far away but that book could have disappeared. Then he noticed Tonia almost during one of the more embarrassing situations he finds himself in.

“ ah miss Tonia. A pleasure to see you. “

arrowspringsforth: She wasn't sure what to get him for his birthday, but she presented him a gift basket of tea sets, and osmanthus wine. She wouldn't be able to have the wine with him, but she could at least have tea with him. She also handed him a brand new yukata that he could wear anywhere. "I hope you like these, Zhongli. And if not I guess I could return them." Her cheeks were slightly red and she turned away. "Happy birthday."

Zhongli accepted the gift basket and yukata with a smile. Osmanthus wine was and still is technically an old favourite of his although those he in a way preferred to drink it with certain people. Though those are long gone. But when it came to the other two gifts he was happy. Tea always was refreshing and in comparison to wine could easily be shared with other people. The yukata , though perhaps not entirely his taste if over thought entirely , would be something worn often or perhaps just when around Tonia.

“ no no these are good and appreciated. Perhaps we shall have some tea together right now. “

“ I do not I , “ he softly muttered looking off to the side. Perhaps with all that had occured waiting longer for everything to have died down a little would have been better. Yet there was that small part of him that wanted to sort out every misunderstanding and to explain his side just a bit more. Though Zhongli did not wish to annoy. Too much at least.

“ I know that can not do such a thing especially with all that occured. Though the summoning of Osial was not my fault I had no say in that vile creature making an appearance. But maybe I should have assisted in sorting it out. “

arrowspringsforth: What was he to her? She often questioned it. All she knew was she cared a lot about him, and she was pretty fond of him from the day they met. Despite all the things he had done in the past and those cold and cruel words she said to him long time ago, Tonia warmly smiled as she took his hand, placing a small gift box on it. Inside the box was a pair of earrings made from raw amber. It... took her a while to convince the Mountain Shaper to let her have a piece of amber.

The smallest of noises escaped him at having his hand taken and something being placed on top of it. His gaze wandered to stare at the small box wondering why and what exactly was inside. Carefully Zhongli open the box not wanting to potentially break whatever it was since Tonia seemed to go to great lengths for whatever it was. Amber. Or earrings made from amber. Quite the suprise. Though there were many locations to collect amber yet mostly likely it was that mountain.

“ thank you. You must have had such a hard time persuading that being. “

“ but of course I’d be more than happy to give you my coat. After all allowing you to be cold and potentially ill would not be good , “ he chuckled softly. Both sleeves of the jacket were slid of almost immediately after replying to her. Cold seemed to not effect him or to the same degree as it did mortals. Said jacket got placed over her shoulders allowing her to do as pleased with it since now it was in here possession.

“ perhaps a fire would be good to warm you up more. “ a hand rested beneath his chin as such idea was thought over just a little.

Zhongli with both hands held onto a small box containing a hair pin that had been found at a random store he’d visited by chance. Though there was no knowledge towards what specific tastes in fashion Tonia he believed it would at least be appreciated even if never worn or shown to anyone. Giving gifts seemed normally and expected around such time of year which prompted him to get here at least something. Even if it costed an extreme amount of mora.

“ please take it. You deserve a gift especially with how kind you are to me. “

Zhongli let out the softest of chuckles at being hugged , massively caught off guard by it occuring. Such an action felt like knowledge away from his grasp and books made it seem more complicated. A friendly action , or so some claimed , which admittedly felt nice to have. It made him feel welcome or cared for just by the smallest degree though still a little embarrassed. Humans were more open with emotions. What about the good fashioned rock throwing
