arseth’s family’s names make ABCD (arseth, banyr, caylune, drahad)

valora picked out her surname herself when she turned 120. that’s why it’s Hopesword (bc shes hopeful and swings a big sword)

theo picked the virtue name brave because he thought Eventually he’d come to embody it, but that hasn’t rly been the case yet. his family was also pretty >:/ at him picking brave over uliuli at first

menko hasn’t picked a virtue name yet bc they haven’t thought of one yet, and they think that people closest to them should help. maybe it’ll come up in dragonhuggers

courage comes from a long long line of Pure Tiefling so he’s been courage forever. that’s his birth name

newyear has three sisters (1 older, 2 younger) and the rest of them are also named after holidays. i haven’t picked which yet

i don’t think abt parents too much bc i dont like to 90% of the time but ones that actually have thought put into em:

menko had two dads whose names are censoring outta embarrassment/bc i havent found new ones for em. one was a tiefling barbarian and the other was a sun elf wizard, and menko Is technically a half-elf bc of that. they’ve both passed but menko keeps moji around in their memory

sarak was raised by his human mom. their relationship’s pretty shaky though

tirr’da’s good with both their parents (drow mom + human dad) and for the most part they’ve supported them becoming a cleric for wee jas and all. it’s just all the death stuff that worries em,

nick has two moms, an orc + moon elf. his orc mom’s gone since orcs don’t live v long but he keeps in contact with his elf mom and they talk a lot

only sparkrod’s dad is named (Jonathan Sparkrod) and both his parents sort of Know what happened/is happening and just    try and get by. sparkrod said if either of them told anyone how he started he’d kill them so things aren’t great. they know they have a grandchild at least

EDIT: i forgot arseth’s whole situation. his mom’s a gold dragonborn named Caylune + his dad’s red and named Drahad. he hates both of them for backstory reasons + they’re both shitty anyway so who cares. his older sister’s named Banyr and they love each other tho

arseth’s surname is silverscale but almost all of his family is chromatic bc several generations ago his red(/pink) ancestors married into a metallic (silver,) family and slowly picked them off and added other chromatic dragonborn lines in. he’s never met anyone in his family that’s actually silver

when i played arseth i settled on the UA Mastermind for him bc he’s definitely more of a dude of thinking + charming than Hitting (he’s also p good at rogue shit like Jumping and Sneaking but u know). looking at mastermind again it’s not, like,    the Strongest archetype; i know picking out ones that arent just super OP are good for complicated characters and stories but i like being able to do shit

now with that last RB if i ever get the chance to play him again for longer i might switch over to dirty player. it goes with him being a dick who doesnt care for rules (or other people*) and it seems fun to play! so maybe, one day, if i ever decide to whip him out instead of adalard (who i’d Rly Like To Play Next)
