Return of the King (Part II)
The King let lose another laugh. He gazed down onto the ruined battle field, soaking in all the pain and hate of the pathetic beings force to their knees below him. The blast of all his aura being released rumbled down the mountain in a think smoke. It took the lives of any caught acidic energy, eating away at skin, bone and soul all at once. He knew he had to keep his oath to the Darkrai, but that would have to come later. With a flick of his tail he sent the armored lord cascading down onto a snowy bluff below. Right then, now to escape, but how? The other two would not leave without a fight. He was strong, but not enough to fend off both the masters of time and space so soon after regeneration. The humans.... yes perhaps the simple shields could be used as energy. Sweeping his wings over the pair he relieved them of their sleeping state for a more permanent rest. Feeling their strength of the purity his eyes glowed with a dark passion. He lunged toward Dialga's weak spot, crunching down his larges jaws over the gods neck just under his head. He felt the gods blood flow over his fangs. He missed the taste of blood, but the dragons was overly metallic. He pressed down harder. Waiting to hear the usual creak and snap of bone. A stabbing pain shot through his lower back. He let go of Dialga and turned to see Palkia. That bastered had managed to hit him with a metal claw. Grah! He stabbed his wing claws into the blasted god's crystals, which shattered, and began draining his energy. Palkia pushed away into back into the distortion world. Blood still dripping from his jaw, he moved back to Dialga struggling to stand. He only managed a half step toward the dragon when a piercing light shot from the sky. He swore again, Arseus had arrived.
"You have defiled this place holy place, taken the lives of the innocent and now attempt to kill the protectors to fabric of the world. What have to say for yourself?" Came the Gods voice. Yveltal gave a slight glance upward squinting. "I have nothing to say to you. Only that I was unfairly judged by you!" He screeched back as he moved out the light that was now burning into his scales. "You know as well as I do that you broke the vow of the Gods and took the lives of not one, but thousands when it was not their time." Arseus voice echoed back. This god was pressing on his nerves even more now than back when he was first imprisoned. He did not take lives for sport that day, he needed to stop a mad man, one who was still allowed to roam this world no less. He swore. He needed a distraction, a way to flee to his new keep. Spare some time to rest and rebuild. "Perhapes your right, my Lord Arseus.....o perhaps your dead wrong!" He swooped up the bag of tomato berries he had lugged up from his old fortress and threw them into the eyes of Arseus. "It burns!" cried the god over and over. This was his chance, his chance to do get a spot of revenge and then flee. Taking up another object he flew over the writhing god. "This will help keep you down..." Yveltal cooed as he tied the rocky item around one of the gods hind quarters. "Wh-what is this!?!" cried Aresus, eyes now blood shot from the heat. "Humans call it an Iron Ball. It keeps things on the ground, including you." He grabbed the god's neck in his talons and tossed him toward the edge of the summit. "You can't do this, you wont succeed in killing me." stammered Arseus hanging onto the rocky rim. "Oh I know, but then again I am not trying to kill you...yet.............." He grabbed the gods front legs with his wings then leaned down for one final taunt. "Long live the king!" he hissed in the others ear, before tossing him into the swirling mass of clouds below.
The progression of my 'Keep calm' fandom wall.
Arseus bless you...
