Third Thursday Art loop in Downtown Toledo at Ye Old Durty Bird!

Color is coming to the Loop!  In June, Jessica Stockholder and the Chicago Loop Alliance will unveil this year's installation in the award winning public art series Art Loop.  Stockholder's vision, according to a statement in the Chicago Tribune, is to "fill an intersection with color...that will include the road and the sidewalk and up the building, so there's volume of color in the intersection wedged between four corners and four buildings."  Geometrical patches of color will swath an undisclosed intersection, inviting visitors to "jam" in the unexpected confluence vibrancy of the streetscape.  

Color Jam will incorporate talks, art workshops, concerts, gatherings, and other open ended "Jams" throughout the summer to facilitate community interaction and encourage Chicagoans to take advantage of the rich cultural resources that abound in the Loop.
