Lately i looked at a lot of art. And something that bothers me: the cute characters almost always have those button noses. And I just want to tell you one thing: if you don't have that "perfect" cute button nose that doesn't change a single thing about how beautiful you are! All sorts of noses are beautiful!! And beauty is subjective anyways
You know what would be awesome? If there were plus size representation in art that isn’t an hourglass. I don’t mean plus size as just having fat, either. Give me the wide shoulders and defined triceps. The small breasts and short torso. I WANT IT ALL. Don’t hold your own characters to a beauty standard.
This is from the October 2017 issue of Readers digest. They featured a set of images that are supposed to accurate depictions of book characters (apparently from “the composites.tumblr.com” originally)
This is supposed to be Carrie White, you know the character that was explicitly described as overweight/chubby and was mocked for it as part of her story.
Guess that part was too hard to draw?

#GALERIE DAHMS (#WIESBADEN, #GERMANY)
Helga Voci, widow of Diego Voci, found two (not very clear) images she took of the Galerie Dahms, about 1983, each with a DIEGO painting in the window.
Look closely and you can see the reflection of Helga in the glass standing outside shooting the photo. It indicates not only how big the DIEGO painting is to the left of Helga but also how high the Galerie ceiling is.
