ok so I was gone a lil bit longer than intended ..got sick Again in Jan for 3 weeks, getting a little tired of this ..practiced sobriety for 2 months. wish I could say I felt better / slept better / felt renewed & refreshed, etc etc but the truth is I did not particularly enjoy it. was an interesting experiment though ..QUINNESOTAAAAAAAAAAA ..have bought a truly horrifying amount of books in the last couple months. I am excited about so many of them. hopefully I will eventually read them. at the rate I've been reading it'll only take me like………. 75 years. going to create a 2026 reading list with assigned weekly books, see if having a rigid list solves anything. ..I wish I could talk more about TBC, there are so many parts I want to share. .."how long is wretchedly long???" well last time I checked we were at 135K and there's probably 50k left to go unless I trim it down any. (unlikely. joy of being self-published is no one can tell me to stfu.) so far we've been pretty even-stevens on POV breakdowns. picking POVs is sometimes the hardest part of writing this set. example a: the chapter I've spent the last four weeks on has changed POVs 6 times. I've rewritten it so many times it has its own "cuts" file separate from the main one. ..the news is horrific! evil people keep winning! keeping faith in humanity is getting a bit difficult these days, but if we give up on ourselves & each other then what else do we have to carry us through

The Kings men, chapter three

"Neil hesitated, then set the bag on Matt's bed and struggled out of his shirt. It was getting a little easier every day, but it hurt when he raised his arms too high and when he twisted he felt the pull at his stitches. He got his shirt over his head and to his elbows before Andrew got tired of watching him struggle and tugged the shirt loose. Andrew tossed it off to one side and didn't look to see where it landed. He was more interested in the scars and bruises covering Neil's front."

This chapter holds so many great passages I might draw another one from it asp. But in this one there was something that felt very real, a mix of pain and trust and interest and discovery, and even desire maybe.

It's actually been a while since the last aftg comic! It was tkm chapter four (the fact that they reverse-follow each other was not intended) and you can find it here if you're interested.

I’m not gonna lie it’s borderline embarrassing how long I’ve worked on this that I’ve spend 2 days tryna figure out how to caption it to make it less embarrassing but oh well. It also made me realise the banner says exy ncaa instead of ncaa exy but at this point that’s none of my business

Short of being inside Nora’s head here is a (mostly) (I think) biblically accurate and to scale model of the Foxhole Court and Nora I have a several questions.

Also rendered so many images of this I had like 50 cameras in the scene would y’all care if I just did a photo dump.

God I have so many things to say about working on this I had to restart like 8 times it was a mess but if I start I won't be able to stop Imao though if anyone's interested in a breakdown of all the sections and materials I would be more than happy to make a post yapping about it.
