After getting a “lower than I’d like” grade on the previous grouping of color schemes, I finally finished the redo’s. Anchored around the same spider painting that everyone agreed was well executed and a keeper, I redesigned the color scheme, rhythm, and pattern for the mantis, keeping the circles but in a different way and using analogous colors. The butterfly image was not working so I chose a different one still centered on butterflies and moved that rhythm and pattern to a monochromatic color scheme. I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out. And I think, as a grouping, they’re much stronger now. We’ll see if it helps my grade for this project. 😏 But now, 😴 💤 🛏. Final artwork for #ArtClassProject. Took 15 hours yesterday to paint — and I wasn’t goofing off, either. I stopped only for lunch, dinner, and a couple stretch or potty breaks. Then the professor sent an email I got at midnight...she’s sick and class is cancelled. Oh well. Yesterday, I worked on white and black, then mixed all my varying shades between and put them in containers (I hope I have enough of each! 😳). Now I’m starting the rest of the painting.
