Arthur remained motionless, seemingly human with the amount of emotions flickering across his face, his thumb grazing on the surface of a amulet. It’s sapphire center reminding him of the distant past.

Of the girl who once stood proudly beside him.

He briefly glanced, his own memories deceiving him of the girl smiling blindingly beside him. "I'll always protect you and the citizens of the kingdom, Arthur—Ahck, I mean, your majesty."

“Come back to me, my sword.”

“Ashe.”

A girl, in her mid twenties, hair tied in sleek high ponytail, continued to polish her most treasured amulet. It’s Amethyst center shining brilliantly. “Back already? Have you found the last knight?”

Instead of a reply, she felt hands circling her waist. Her head shot up, instincts sharp, drawing her sword faster than her body knew what it was reacting to.

Lancelot laughed, the tip of her blade inches away from his throat. “Come on. Didn’t you miss me one bit?”

“It seems you’ve been well since the last time we spoke.” Astrea sheathed her sword, turning to flick the blonde boy’s forehead.

Only for him to catch her hand, “I wanted to see you.”

She knew all too well, what danced in those red eyes of him. Because she too, looked at him like that before. “Lancelot. I’ll say it again.”

“Yeah yeah I know, I was kidding. Stop being so uptight, Ashe.” Lancelot retorted, pulling her along. “Let’s go meet Percy.”

She sighed, shaking her head. He’s too young to be this fixated on a woman 7 years older than him.

And she’s too young to continue pining for the king she had already abandoned.

Finally managed to finish this before Arthur's birthday (which is Saturday) and it's been so long since I finally managed to post something about these two loving dorks which we'll see more in the future and news for NNT/4KoA rewrite I'm planning. Stay tuned!
