Imagine a world where Gwen and Arthur run off together, Merlin goes because destiny. They run into Lancelot (idk if he’s dead by the time that Arthur is trying to Marry Gwen but I’ll bend the timeline as it pleases me.) and Lancelot is all blushing and cute seeing Gwen (so Merlin thinks) but actually it’s because of Merlin. He’s moved on from Gwen. Merlin tries to comfort Lancelot and has a cute little “you’ll find someone. They could be anywhere. Maybe right out here in [random little village they’re in].
Lancelot leans in. “You truly believe that?”
“Course I do.” And he’s beaming and Lancelot leans in and kisses him. He would not that is so OOC for Lancelot but that’s what I want.
“I look forward to it then.” And Lancelot is all sweet and gives Merlin a spare blanket (it’s not a spare) to use because it’s going to get cold tonight.
