Disco Teardrop, 2018 by Camille Jodoin-Eng The disco ball as a metaphoric sun, the center of the party, rotates slowly suspended in space with a universe of twinkling lights swirling around it. Disco Teardrop is an experimentation in the reflection and movement of light around a room, mirroring greater cosmic systems. Camille Jodoin-Eng has developed a growing visual language of symbols throughout her practice, a wordless language born from intuition and emotion. Each mirrored tile has been engraved with a tiny symbol that is then projected into space as light reflects off the mirrored surface and the teardrop turns on its axis. An entire star map contained in a single teardrop. 15th edition of the Festival Art Souterrain → From March 18 to April 9, 2023 #insiderMTL #ArtMTL #ArtpublicMTL #ArtPMTL #ArtSouterrain #PlacedelaCiteInternationale #CamilleJodoinEng (at Montreal, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqRYnm2rhTV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
