Red Deer Arts Council Newsletter- June 2013 The biggest thing of course is Red Deer’s hosting of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Awards Gala and Red Deer Artwalk Festival’s 25th anniversary that are happening on the same day, June 15th! Red Deer will be buzzing the entire week with tons of events from June 10 to 16th (with Sunnybrook Farm Museum hosting a pancake breakfast to finish out the week). If you're at all curious what I have been up to at work (you're probably not), the NYT just profiled this arts programming project with PBS which has been a huge undertaking to get off the ground. We finally have pretty much everything in place, and I'm curious to see how this wildly eclectic program package gets received.
