I'll be participating in a really interesting and unique event series here in Calgary over the next year. The 22nd century social club, as it has been dubbed is a mass collaboration of Calgary artists with the goal in mind to explore, display, document, and discuss the evolution of the Calgary arts community. There will be many works by local artists displayed, local musicians delivering their unique brand of talent, and myself and Sarah Koury of Vindaloo Photography will be behind the lens capturing this incredible communion of artists. The first event in the series is tonight at the Museum of Contemporary Art Calgary (MOCA). It is called "Origin" and will feature the artwork of ten different Calgary artists and the sounds of a Calgary music scene veteran Sandro Petrillo.
The event is sponsored by Village brewery and so you can count on excellent, locally brewed craft beer. The event runs from 7PM-11PM. Tickets will be $10 at the door or you can purchase them ahead of time online through eventbrite.
