“Living, there is no happiness in that. Living: carrying one’s painful self through the world.
But being, being is happiness. Being: Becoming a fountain, a fountain on which the universe falls like warm rain.“

Keep your reality.
I sit with a pen and could stare at the sea until the sun goes down and forever after. I need nothing else. The tide is a lullaby. No, not at all a lullaby actually. It is far too violent here. It's a nice thought to believe the sea cares for us in some sort of maternal way and to believe we can trust her. But the truth is, the only reason we find peace in the waves crashing on the beach and the sun rising and setting is that it is innate in us that we are infinitesimal and that we can so easily be swept away into nothingness by something ancient, wise and uncaring to know of our daily goings on. We know that long after we are gone the waves will still crash. The granite will still be smoothed until it is nothing but a pile of dust. The moon will pull the surf in and out and back in again for an eternity. We will die. The sea will stay and she will laugh. This frightens some. Hell I don't even know anymore. Maybe it frightens most. But for now, there is no greater comfort, no greater peace than to contrast my tiny thoughts against the immensity of time.
I love your style of photos! They look excellent!!
Thank you! I have a lot of new work to post so stay tuned :).
