Merlin – Character Design, done for the the 7. Artstation Challenge.

Having a good back-story always helps creating good characters. The ones that tell a story are the ones that feel alive.

At least, get a feeling of the world they are living in. From there, their story can evolve while designing.

In my story, Merlin is still the kings mentor and advisor, but also pulling his own strings behind Arthur's back for what he thinks is best for the country.

Today I thought about Morgaine, the half-sister of king Arthur. I did some character sketches to explore her personality, how she acts, what she does, how she feels.
