If your films don’t say anything, why are you making them? I watch so many films that exist for egotistical reasons that I wonder where all the artists are hiding. If you have nothing to say, especially right now, filmmaking is not for you. It’s a career but it’s also an art form and an expression of the soul. What does you work say about you? If you’re not really sure you need to adjust your path. I won’t say the film that triggered this response or the filmmaker, but don’t take a seat at the table just cuz you’re hungry.
