October: Mari’s Brazilian cartoons month

I already spoiled this on my Twitter but anyways It happily surprised me to see people interested on the Haunted Tales stuff I drew and since nowadays we are getting some epic and great modern brazilian cartoons, why not keep the trend going?

I'm not thinking of doing a daily drawing challenge because I suck at doing those (plus they aren't really fun to me), but it will be a frequent thing. I'm already thinking of doing pallete drawings, screenshots redraws, a "faves of the faves" day, this kind of stuff (I also take suggestions of other artsy things I could do!).

I'll doing them in Tumblr and Deviantart mostly, since my Twitter contains mostly me rambling lol. On Tumblr it will be tagged as "BrCartoonober" if you wish to blacklist it.

Okay I need to open my artsy heart bear with me 

I remember back on my old deviantart days this asshole showed up, saw my drawings and commented something like “this looks like a six years old’s drawing”. He also commented that one of my old old OCs was unoriginal looking, He went thourgh my gallery just to pick something to make fun of.

I was 14, 15, all the shit I drew was on paint with a mouse and yes, it was bad looking. But he could have been a bit nicer and said something like“Hey if you try this and this, you’ll improve.” THAT’S actual constructive criticism.

I’m nearly 21 years old now. I gived up digital art for the longest time because I thought it would be just like those deviantart times. I know taking criticism to the heart isn’t right, especially regarding arts. You need people telling you what you did wrong so you can fix them next time. Sometimes it feels like that dude again saying “See? All those years you’re still the same.” 

And tbh, that’s part of another barrier I need to break. I know I’ll meet assholes again, but most people I’ve meet are pretty supportive and willing to give actual criticism. It’s not easy but it’s okay. The best things we can get are the ones we fight hard for.

Ok I’m done with palette requests for now. They are fun to do but I’m really slow with working with them and I have other artsy stuff I need to do
