I felt bad that I didn’t actually ink for yesterday’s Inkpril prompt so I did another prompt. I’ll switch to a different challenge for tomorrow but for now it’s Brawl’s broken boy, Meta Knight. Bayo may have been a better choice for the “Broken” prompt but I already drew her and Smash 4 wasn’t really my game.

Bonus Mini Movie Review for Shazam! since I watched it today:

Pretty solid movie, good message, and a fun time all around. Nothing really stands out as more than average, and even though there weren’t really any harsh negatives too point out, I’m giving this a 7.0/10 due to how it just works as a whole and feels complete.

Here’s the fully inked Mermaid Corrin. I know it’s not too much but I’ve been making a bunch of Soul Calibur 6 custom characters because I’m wanting to take an art break in May so I’ll be running a computer tournament for the custom souls and I’m actually wanting that to look decent so I’m planning for that now so the weird break month will be more of a break for me.

Um, new ArtyApril thing tomorrow probably, and on Tuesday I’ll probably show off some more custom characters for May.

I didn’t know what the plan was for today but I wanted to end ArtyApril with an actual challenge so I went looking and found /r/sketchdaily.

I like it when I’m in the mood for a really quick sketch and it evoles into a full complete sketch just out of nowhere. Art’s fun, guys.

The prompt for today was “Eyes” and I ended up drawing another driderling.

Ever since I played Life is Strange 2’s first episode, I’ve been wanting to draw a sketch of my area, and partnered with 2016’s Inktober prompt I drew this.

Well this was supposed to be a quick sketch so I could get some sleep but apparently mermaids are hard. I’ll ink this up later and probably do a few more mermaids before the months up.

Corrin got some needed buffs in Smash Ultimate and I might go back to maining her again. This Corrin mermaid was sailfish inspired and I had a lot of fun.

I think I like mermaids now.

I appreciate drawing them a lot. I get to draw hot ladies how I normally do but I get to play around a bit with the animalistic features of the tail and also ignore the legs which are a slight weakness of mine.

I’m not gonna do an entire month of Mermay but expect to see some more of these mystical gals in the future.

So for today’s ArtyApril challenge, I did a video that Drawfee did a month ago. You draw something upside-down and see how it comes out. I chose the Dryad from Terraria but the Dungeon Defenders 2 version. I’m kind of used to drawing girls but I don’t think I’ve ever had this awkward of a time doing it.

Fun challenge, I encourage anyone else to give it a shot.

I did another Inkpril prompt today. I’ve been playing a lot of Trials Rising and I was drawn to today’s prompt of “Rider.”

I was gonna ink this since that’s kind of the point of Inkpril and Inktober but I spent way too much time just doing it in pencil. It’s still came out pretty well so it’s alright especially since I’m not doing a full Inkpril or Inktober challenge.

Inkpril was today’s challenge. The word of the day was “new.” I went with a bulky cyberpunk robot arm. I kept the dude sketched just so it’s easier to focus on the arm and I really like how this came out.

Man... art is fun.
