A Lore Friendly Half-Drider race for play with 5e!
Working on more of my half races, this time I present a Driderling not quite drow and not quite drider.
I didn’t know what the plan was for today but I wanted to end ArtyApril with an actual challenge so I went looking and found /r/sketchdaily.
I like it when I’m in the mood for a really quick sketch and it evoles into a full complete sketch just out of nowhere. Art’s fun, guys.
The prompt for today was “Eyes” and I ended up drawing another driderling.
Drawcember the 9th:
Here’s this week’s full-color piece of Karen the Drider.
Karen was out exploring the Driderlands in order to try and learn more about these creatures that were becoming increasingly threatening to her local community. She got a little more information than she wanted though. Karen is not fully in control of herself at times, but when she’s in charge she continues to do research on her neighboring driders and driderlings hoping to one day give the information back to humanity.
Tomorrow’s Blanksford Update is probably gonna be a quick one instead of a full-color piece but we’ll see.

I took a new spin on the drider creature for today’s sketch.
Driderlings are large spider-like beings who find a human and then attach themselves to the human like a parasite. The driderling then take partial control over the human and they become a drider. Driders will often use their own webbing to make clothing and use their poison to create makeshift weapons such as blow darts. Driders normally live solitary lifestyles but occasionally work together if they are threatened by humans.
