A little late to the party... (long post, sorry guys)
Not to mention, you are HORRIBLY misrepresenting your cause by attacking the author of the comic! It's sad but true, one bad apple can really bend a view on a community. And this is not something the Ace/Aro Community wants or needs :( . I feel that there was hype about people simply speculating that there maybe an Ace/Aro character in the comic. I saw all the theories and people making fan cannons about Gil being an asexual character. People seemed to build on this fantasy so much that when it was revealed that there would not be an Ace/Aro character in the comic, people got mad because it destroyed their fantasy. To make a point off of many bloggers comments on the situation, many of them from the Ace/Aro Community, the asexual orientation had not really been officially recognized until a couple years ago. Michelle was 13 when she completed the story, so the asexual orientation had not come to the public eye yet. I respect her for saying that she did not know how to properly represent an asexual character and to try and write one might offend more than it would make people happy.
Another thing, please don't rub the fact that you have Ace/Aro characters in your comic, in her face. That is EXTREMELY rude! I swear some of these people do not know what manners are. If you truly feel that you need to talk the creator of the comic, please send a polite email discussing your concerns. I would like to emphasize the POLITE part. I know this is something many are passionate about but please, you attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. Savvy?
Further more, I would like to conclude by saying that we should send Michelle our hugs and support. She works so hard to make this comic amazing and to see her so upset makes me sad :( We love and support you Michelle! We appreciate your hard work! :)
