arukun update! we've walked a bit together now, my slime is seven days old. he evolved into a bubble slime! very cute. honestly hes been encouraging me to walk more and its really nice to have a little pal with me when im gettin my steps in :p

Arukundesu - Secret Caves!

After lots and lots of walking, I finally managed to fall into one of the secret caves in the Arukundesu! I cannot take the credit for this find however, as I got a hint of the caves whereabouts from a Reddit thread. I can now confirm that S-6 W-7 is indeed an entrance to one of the secret caves!

I was confused at first since the cave was a single pixel on the map, how would I fill the familiarity meter here? To build your familiarity meter you need to walk from one pixel to another, passing over the same terrain (or eat the local speciality). So, if I walk from the cave in any direction I’d end up back at the sea, so the meter wouldn’t fill. I was very confused.

Here’s the answer! After checking the map again, it’s changed! Now we can actually see the caves! My slime is in the bottom cave at the moment. I’m assuming you can also visit the cave at the top by going to one of the entrances. This is really exciting! I wonder what type of slime you can get here! ✨

Damn, so it's not really safe to take a 2 hour nap with the Arukundesu. Got injured & now it's... dead I think? I didn't get enough other familiarity for Ghost, so he's just floating & flashing in the sky right now. Not heard anything about this screen, so I think I need to reset tomorrow. Mini-slime was ready to evolve, but I had not decided on what familiarity to max out first, & wanted to get back to the forest to the east today. Obviously did not hit that today.

So, yep! Injuries are very serious on this. There's (seemingly) not really a system where a call light goes out & there's a care mistake. It's either you save him from an injury or pitfall, or that's it. Total times it's happened probably is what counted for Ghost, but I didn't meet other requirements (familiarity maxes). Dunno, I'm learning. Overall not a needy device, but I need to be more aware. Game isn't as bad as I remembered it & especially now that I know I can mute it.

my arukun is here!! I found out about this vpet completely accidentally recently and was immediately overcome with intense lust. as an avid dragon quest slime fan and someone who wants to start collecting vpets i knew i had to have him.

grabbed it for cheaper than I expected on a japanese auction site (he was around 40 gbp with shipping! much cheaper than the listings on us/uk ebay for me) and im so pleased he arrived safely and in such lovely condition. i was worried he might be more scratched/scuffed than the picture implied but it looks almost perfect. also the instruction book was included! lots of cute pics in there.

im outta batteries right now so i’ll be popping them in once i pick some up tomorrow. i just wanted to show this guy off!
