so it took me p much a day and a half to think of this which…honestly is a record for depressed!ej so um yeah holla

1. my writing. not just that i’m good at it (i am), but the way i’ve been good at it and into it for a long time (more than ¾ of my short life)

2. my absolutely undying loves for animals and small children

3. how Extra™ i am when i’m excited about or invested in something 

(ex: in sixth grade, i got assigned a project on this very old book, right? old enough that it was in middle english. i’m sure my teachers expected i’d read summaries of the chapters and write about its influence, okay, whatever. but nah, man. lil ej bought (ok i was eleven so i assume my dad paid but the point remains) and read that book (in middle english! with footnotes!), downloaded and digested a rap version of the whole damn thing on iTunes, and showed up with a report about the depiction of women in that book along with how it both reflected and affected its time period. got a c because my formatting wasn’t right and it was too long but the point is that i went ALL THE HECK OUT)

4. the two physical things i like about myself: my eyes (even though they p much can’t see for shite, they’re a pretty blue) and (the appearance of) my hair (i lose a bunch of hair everywhere n all the time bc it’s long now but i really like it other than that lol)

5. my being alive. the literal plain fact that i’ve come super far from my lowest points and even at my current lows i’m capable of choosing not to end the possibility for better moments. the fact that even in my current lows i’m aware that everything i hope to do is worth living for. that. i love that.
