I recently read blue lock’s 4th light novel, the one about Barou, Aryu and Yukimiya. If Aryu was already my favourite character this has solidified it. I will included some of my favourite passages from it:

I wish the content of this light novels were added to the manga. It gives such a rich backstory to the characters that, in my opinion, is desperately needed. Also fun fact, but my blog is named/ inspired, by him lol

Rating Blue Lock Outfits Pt. 2

Sanrio Collab 1 (Apparently there are multiple????)

The matching soccer and pawprint icons on their shirts are cute icl. That being said who tf is Tiran. I looked him up and it said he's a "scatterbrain, but a strong, reliable leader". Don't ever pair my goat with a "scatterbrain" ever again. I will sock you.

I don't have any major complaints with the outfit. Just don't walk around like this in public.

Oh god. Aryu...you're not...you're not in a Broadway musical, you know that right? You don't have to dress so outlandish that people will want to jump you in broad daylight. You look like you're about to serve me some ice cream, and then get mad at me when I don't tip, but also that you're about to tell me Mary Poppins is your homegirl.

Tuxedo Sam is described as "a fashionable penguin who loves to eat. He has studied abroad in Britain and has a collection of 365 bow ties", which honestly lines up with Aryu perfectly. That man would also have a collection of a bow tie for every day of the year. This is a perfect pair icl.

Get the fuck out of my sight.

Ignore Isagi's fat head at the bottom.

This is...okay, for the most part. Idk, the outfit itself is alright, but it just doesn't scream "Barou". But maybe he does enough screaming for the both of them, idk. Maybe it's the color that's throwing me off. Yeah...it's too bright.

Badtz-maru is "one mischievous little penguin...has dreams of greatness when he grows up, but for now he rolls his eyes at his humorous life..."

Barou is anything but mischievious. These two would hate each other other.

Are those tightie-whities right under your suspenders?? Genuinely wtf is that. And again with the suspenders. Can we sue whoever's putting them in suspenders. What teenage boy willingly wears suspenders. At least the pin in his hair is cute, but it's not saving any part of this. You've disappointed me once again.

My Melody is a "honest and good-natured friend", and you know what? That is so perfect for Chigiri icl. Yeah he's a bit of an asshole sometimes, but he's (one of) my favorite for a reason.

Wow Tokimitsu fans finally got merch for once. Shout out to the BLLK character I care least about.

He looks alright. Nothing special, just like him. The hat's a little ugly, but so is he, so I guess it fits.

Hangyodon is a "jokester who would like to be more courageous, despite his sensitive nature". Yeah. Tokimitsu could stand to be a bit more confident for once in his fucking life. Maybe they can trauma dump to each other and play the victim card until one of them starts crying. Who knows.

Listen, Reo and Kuromi is a combination that CANNOT be beat. Kuromi is "cheeky but charming! She may seem a little tough on the outside, but she's sweet and girly on the inside". Hell yeah. This is too much of a banger. Whoever thought of them two together needs to be promoted.

That being said, it still cannot save this outfit. What is going on with those long ass blue strips??? And the jester collar and bow combination, fitted with the mostly normal outfit, just makes him look a bit childish icl.

Of course you didn't bother trying. You just wanted to go the safe option, huh? Well good for you. You're not ugly, but you're not particularly appealing either.

Cinnamoroll is "calm and quiet, but very friendly and will sometimes fall asleep on customers’ laps". Sure their personalities kinda match, but Nagi is deff not as friendly as Cinna is (customers???)

Here comes The Giant over here.

Boy looks like he about to go apple picking....and it's working. This is the best outfit here, I'm so serious.

"He has a fanny pack", and it's putting the look together. Be grateful he's not wearing it at his pants like a freak. This is actually a really good outfit for Isagi. They cooked here.

Ik they paired him with Hello Kitty bc they're both the spotlight of their respective medias, but still. Her hobby is described as "making new friends", and that's Isagi. Isagi can't stop making friends. He's playing soccer with his life on the line and he can't stop making friends.

Upgrade from his last outfit I reviewed but still not perfect. What is that ugly ass think tied around his neck? That's deffo not a handkerchief, but I really don't know what else it could be.

Pompompurin is a "laidback cheerful golden retriever living in his own world". And that's perfect for Bachira tbh. They're made for each other.

Lastly, Rin. He ate with this one. The colors match so well, the pose is banging. The watch flex to let us know he ain't playing. He is radiating pure aura.

Pochacco is "a curious and very energetic guy". While Rin is energetic, I wouldn't exactly say he's curious, just observant.
