8. Contradictory or easy to understand, which one applies more to your Durge? Is their design and personality a conundrum, or did you try to keep it as clear cut as possible?
Strike's main thing is charisma and being on the surface way more chill than one would've expected, but also he needed to be terrifying when I say so, so his looks needed to be versatile enough to allow for that - I don't know how clear cut he is, tbh?
He's a conflicted guy who has a lot of thoughts and ideas that at first glance contradict eachother, so I do like the mishmash of a race that he is; way too tall for a drow, with a hair color that isn't natural to them and with tiefling or hellborn eyes. Golden scales that come from his draconic ancestry are something that I really like (originally they were there to make the model's jawline less rough lol) cause imo they give him this look of a crown, that, after they fade, looks a bit more like a skin disease post-tadpoling.
11. How much of yourself can be found in your Durge? Do you share the same personality, taste, a specific feature? Are they who you want to be or who you used to be? Are they entirely removed from you as a person?
I've had Strike as an oc for almost a decade now, so a little less than half of my life. I don't know what trait of his are mine that I just projected or what happened in reverse lmao, but I am writing all of my characters always in a way where they have at least one trait of mine that I can dial up to a hundred and make a character around.
Strike's definitely an extreme of a lot of my own feelings and traits, and I do keep realizing things about myself because I gave them to him first and then realized years later "wait a second why am I relating to him" (by this i mean stuff like his feelings about sex, or relationships, or in a very loose way his philosophy, not the murder stuff). I wouldn't say he is a self insert but he does talk the most like me out of any of my characters since he is one of the oldest!
