baby sky doodling today 🪶
don't have to imagine, just watch women's tennis. it's so bad
this is a SUPER old ask that was talking about yelling noises from characters jumping or w/e. anyway this is suddenly relevant bc I watched half of the australian open a couple weekends ago and it really do be like that, I was up until midnight listening to HYAH! HUAH! AAAH! HAHEH! AARGH! HUEAH!
Rain
"I'm completely drenched." I whined, blowing at the wet bangs that hung over my vision. "So tell me again why this was a good idea?" I wasn't trying to be a pest, but unlike Dark i wasn't particularly tolerant of the cold and this water was beginning to chill me, even through my multiple layers.
"Well sorry i didn't sell my soul to nature to prevent the rain." Dark retorted. He didn't sound mad with me; he sounded more like he was stalling me with that remark. So clearly he had a reason to be out here, he just didn't want to reveal it. I guess i could live with that.
But it better be good considering the cold i'd likely get out of this.
I continued walking with Dark for a while longer in silence, trying not to let my impatience get the better of me. It was kind of nice, truthfully, just getting out every now and then. I sighed out softly, though this time in content rather than whiny irritation, and reached for Dark's hand. Without even looking down, he instinctively he took mine and locked his fingers where only his could fit.
".....Dark, aren't we just back at the house?" i asked after a moment of enjoying the gentle gesture, having spotted our home merely a few trees and rain gusts away.
Dark didn't reply to me verbally, instead answering with a snicker of laughter.
"Did you just lead me in a big circle?!" I choked, surprised i hadn't even noticed. I was probably too concerned with the cold...
Dark let out a loud bark of laughter. "Maybe! But oh my bad, i hadn't planned for us to get so wet and cold!" His sarcasm was too thick to even attempt to ignore. "So maybe we ought to take a nice shower and warm up together~"
I yanked my hand away from him and promptly smacked Dark across the arm, earning another laugh from the schemer.
He grabbed it and pulled me in for a kiss.
Solace
//hope you don't mind me using "Sky" and "Time" for differentiation
Sky shook his head and didn't dare look into Time's eyes. He could feel himself on the verge of tears, and he didn't want his successor seeing him that way.
Time reached out and gently grabbed onto his predecessor's shoulders, pulling him close for a hopefully-not-awkward embrace. "You know i don't blame you..." he said quietly, his voice soft in hopes of calming the other hero.
Sky shook his head again, this time against the taller hero's chest. "It's my fault this whole chain of disasters began..." he mumbled, not really considering how hard it was to hear with his face pressed against Link's shoulder. "I'm the whole reason you had to suffer so much..." Guilt panged in his chest and it was evident in his voice, too.
Time frowned and and stepped away from Sky, which made the latter fear that the other was angry. But Time tapped up on Sky's chin, urging him to look upward and into his eyes. "Sky, listen to me." He ordered, though his voice wasn't stern in the least -- all it held with kindness. "No matter what amount of suffering i go though... i'm proud to follow in your footsteps."
With that, he smiled, and after a moment, Sky did too, even through his finally fallen tears.
Fear
"You cant hide in here forever, Link." Squall groaned, rolling his eyes at the scared teen.
"Just a little longer!" Link insisted, poking his head to the window while brushing the curtains away. "They're still here..."
Squall grunted in slight irritation, but quickly forgave his friend and sat down. It was beyond him what was so horribly frightening about the people outside. They seemed pretty normal to him. But nonetheless, he'd keep Link here until he was finished shaking and could manage heading back outside again.
"Remind me again what you're so afraid of?" He asked, still dumbfounded by the courageous hero's fright.
Link glanced back at him, his expression very serious. With a shake of the head and one last shudder, he edged closer and whispered to Squall, needing to stand on his tip-toes to do so. ".....fangirls."
Sleeping (cuties? .u.)
Link sighed out calmly during his light sleep, a small smile creeping onto his face as happy thoughts danced across his mind. He could feel himself slowly dipping into a deeper sleep as he became less conscious of his surroundings...
Until all at once he was horribly aware of his surroundings while Dark from beside him rolled right on over onto the hero, causing him to sharply inhale to gather up the breath he lost. Link's eyes snapped open and he looked down at his partner. Normally, he'd laugh at the silly behavior formed by the shadow's dozing, but he was a little too tired for that amount of effort.
"Daaark..." he groaned softly from under the added pressure, but he was granted no more of a response than a sleepy snort. Link whined and tried to gently move the other off of him but Dark had somehow managed to wedge himself onto Link enough to make that near impossible without waking him.
So Link scooted upward to get breathing better, and let out a soft whimper. After a moment, he shut his eyes again and decided it be best to put up with weight and just sleep like he had planned. And to be honest, that didn't end up being too hard, because he almost immediately felt himself drifting off...
Soft lips pressed up against Link's chin as a bit of weight was lifted off his chest, and upon opening his eyes, Link saw Dark's lulling, half-lidded eyes before him, a grin beneath them. "Goodnight...~" the shade purred, amused by his pestering.
Link tried to frown, but Dark's smile was just too contagious, and with a tilt of his head, the two smiles pressed together for a soft kiss....
...before Link pushed Dark off the bed.
L-ittle boy who didn't belong; I-nsignificant in the past; N-othing but a title; K-illed a race's only leader
He subconsciously grasped at his chest, tossing his head to the side. "That was...hurtful." He stammered, unpleasantly ashamed by the collection of words. He really wasn't sure what else to say, though, because honestly...it was all true.
