ASEXUAL!MALCOLM HEADCANON PART 2
(Part 1 seemed to gain attention again so here a part 2 of what I thought since part 1. Again that’s just hc, throw those you don’t like, add any you want, contradict mine, extrapolate on one, whatever.. Just enjoy. Also any of this hc are free to use if you want for anything !! (tag me if you do anything with them or with asexual!Malcolm in general) )
• He has a good collection of movie and books that contain asexual characters or are without sex/romance in general.
• Has a pretty decent amount of purple clothes, going from tie, scarf, shoes, belt, shirt… generally offered to him by Jessica. When she learned about the asexual flag, she beamed, because purple is historically a color for royalty and was worn by royalty. It’s one of her ways to support her son, while remembering him where he comes from. She tends to offer him clothes that have at least something purple in it.
• Absolutely hate hearing people having sex, staying in motels while he was on a case during his FBI time could be a nightmare, though, he never slept much, so now he can map most of any town he stayed in from memory, because he was walking at night or just straight up continued to work on the case.
• Tried to play it cool, but was absolutely terrified when he was undercover and was ‘supposed’ to have sex with Simone (s1e9) wasn’t really sure how to deal with the situation. Thankful it was dealt with before he had to.
• Been called a gentleman many times when in fact he was just not interested. Jessica circle of friends and acquaintance often refer to it to her and she takes the opportunity to praise her son even though she know exactly what is that and they don’t.
• Often ask Ainsley to clarify some term or slang for him when he encounter stuff he doesn’t know about on a case.
• Go to pride when he can, but often hidden behind the bi flag until the community warmed about asexuality
• Got told he was sick by a doctor, or that his asexuality was due to his trauma and was something to be fixed more than once, they all had a lawsuit and their job ruined after, Jessica made sure of it.
• Colette called him a freak when she discovered he was asexual, mostly because for her, being so interested in murder and having no interest in sex is extra weird and suspicious. All he said to her for that was ‘that’s rude.’
• Eve hit something in him, he is not sexually attracted to her (except if you go with gray-A or demi-A Malcolm which is all fine :D) but there’s something special about her and he feels good with her. Better than he’d ever been with someone in so little time which is extra new for him.
• Malcolm and Ainsley have a drinking game where they watch movies and drink every time they catch a mistake in a police investigation, in any journalistic situation, or anytime characters have sex. It always ends up with Ainsley getting heated by a dumb thing that happened in the movie and is determined to make a speech about it to prove how it’s wrong, why and how she would have done better. Malcolm only has to agree, listen, and refill her glass.
• Give more ace judgment face than bi judgment face, generally it’s Gil that cover the bi one.
• Big friend material !! want all the friends.
• Fell in love, but didn’t always recognize it for something that is stronger than friendship, love. He always tends to realize way later.
• If you hc Edrisa as aroace, then let me tell you, they are overjoyed when they found out the other is ace too. They have a lot of experience and funny things to share !! and they definitely share jokes in from of the team that mostly only them can understand. Gil tend to catch on though, he has to calm them down often ‘we’re on a case kids.’
• As I said in part 1, martin pretty much know, he often does pun with the word ace to Malcolm
• You bet a chunk of the money Jessica gives to charity go for LGBTIQ+ one.
