Hi there! So I haven't read the books I've only watched shadowhunters but I know the general plot of the books,but I've always wondered where the asexual Raphael in the fandom came from? Is it like canon cause that would be amazing if it was or is it just something everyone in the fandom agrees upon in terms of Raphael's character? Either way I love the idea of him being ace I've just always wondered if it was canon and if not what made the fandom believe that he is ace. Thanks so much!

I can’t be too much help here I’m afraid anon since I only read the first 2 books and it was a while ago, but I’m pretty sure it’s either a headcanon that basically the whole fandom agrees on, or cassarole clam said it, but didn’t put it in the books if you get what I mean?? if someone could clear this up for me this anon that would be great though!
