Do you think if toriel and asgore enter the same dark world rouxles will try to start a throuple with them
"I wanted to fight Asgore"
"You're getting a THIRD MAD MEW MEW FIGHT"
thinking about asgore's "parade their body around" and everyone takes it as straight up killing, but... monsters turn to dust when they die, and there's only one human in town-- his child. so either he assumes it to be another human, or he just wants to incapacitate. idk, but asgore only "wanted to help", so jumping to murder seems a little excessive? especially when his undertale counterpart (who participated in a war and lived in a world where death and violence was more common) hates killing (and he's certainly capable) i don't know where i'm going with this
I am tired of asgore divorce ass
can we put him in the PUNishment zone I feel like that would be good CHARActer arc for him
Dreemurr Christmas Catastrophe
Hey so I had an idea about how a Christmas might go with how awkward the family dynamics are. Based partly on this and my own experiences. TW for a Dysfunctional Family. Here ya go y'all:
It's Christmas time. Noelle and her family are all together having a fine and wonderful Christmas, the other residents of the town with their families having the best times during Christmas time! (Even Bratty and Catty are having fun being rivals!) But then, of course, to the house up on the hill there's two with one outside. Kris and Toriel, with Asgore just arriving.
The entire time Kris is waiting to open presents, they find discomfort in the way Toriel and Asgore interact. Toriel is always glaring at Asgore when he so much as asks a single question or speaks at all, and Asgore is fumbling over his words discomforted and trying to let Kris and Toriel know that despite how they're usually apart, he still feels like his family is the best family and he loves everyone there very much.
During present opening, the two don't acknowledge Kris getting what they wanted for Christmas and taking pictures and videos as done previous years. At the dinner, there's awkward silence as Toriel get increasingly irritated at Asgore. There's no comfort anywhere, not even in the happiest days of the year. Kris gets up from the dinner table, looking down as they walk towards the living room. Toriel spares Asgore from another passive-aggressive comment and looks to Kris, asking what they are doing. Kris can't decide what to say, and stays silent as they continue walking away, their plate still full of food. Toriel insists Kris tell her what's going on, and Kris just...
Sprints for the door.
Out the door, into the snow, Kris refuses to turn back and return to what that dysfunctional family has to offer. They run and run and run, freezing and nearly slipping on ice as they go down the hill. Asgore and Toriel make chase, but Kris is quickly lost sight of and escapes. Now they are a runaway...
Temporarily.
Instead of staying in the cold, Kris takes a chance and goes to Noelle's. Noelle brings them in to their happy, not best but still better home, and Kris asks to hide in Noelle's room. Away from her parents. Noelle asks why, but she notices... Kris without a coat, clearly unwell and saddened, and doesn't need an answer. Kris stays in Noelle's room that night, Noelle bringing them food from their Christmas dinner and even even giving Kris a present from her own tree. A four-point star locket.
Not long after, Noelle is caught by her parents with Kris... But the parents agree to let them stay anyways. The next day... A pair of parents will have to have a talk.
And thanks to @salamiac there's a bit about how Asriel fits in as well:
If Asriel arrived, it would probably be late due to traffic and distance. He comes home to his parents worried sick, his mother on the phone with officer Undyne and his father just panicking. Seeing Asriel, Toriel pauses speaking to say hello and that his dad will explain what's going on. Asgore takes Asriel's hands and explains how Kris ran away into the snow and they can't find them.
Asriel is worried, but tells his parents to calm down and that he'll look for them. Toriel tries to object, but Asriel is insistent. He's let go and he checks with the Holiday Family, he asks if Kris came by, and tells them to check with Noelle. The Holidays then check and realize that Kris is there with Noelle, they ask Asriel if Kris should be taken home, and Asriel says no. He'll see them tomorrow. It'll be okay if they spend Christmas there. Asriel also tells the Holidays to take good care of them before he returns home.
The parents are scared seeing Kris not with Asriel when he returns, but Asriel assures the two that Kris is fine. They'll be back tomorrow. They just needed their own space. Any questions about where Kris is are unanswered.
Kris is safe, and that's all that matters.
thanksgiving
