one of my favorite jokes from the movie all dogs go to heaven (good movie. underrated movie) is when the whippet angel is describing heaven to charlie and says it's always kept at "a perfect 72 degrees - we're still on fahrenheit here" like she says that second part almost like an apology lol. like yeah the afterlife hasn't switched over to metric yet, sorry if you expected otherwise

I should find a way to include that "sorry we're not on metric yet" joke in all stans go to heaven since that movie IS the fic's namesake and all. granted I don't think stan would mind so much

#ford however would probably be upset and disappointed to learn that heaven is not on the metric system #asgth #god there's so much to discuss just in that movie's first act when charlie first arrives in heaven #if you watch that movie with me i will for sure point out the UNAUTHORIZED MICKEY MOUSE #all dogs go to heaven is NOT a disney film #and yet when they're in the clock room #one of those clocks is clearly a mickey mouse watch #like no attempt to disguise it as a non-trademark-infringing mickey or whatever #it's just mickey mouse #i'm told that the disney corporation was less litigious about that sort of thing in the 80s when that film was made but still #i look at that and I'm like “damn they had some balls to include that”

I tried to look up how long exactly it would take someone to die of suffocation from being locked in a trunk for ASGTH and google not only did not answer my question they sent me suicide helplines. that would be an elaborate-ass suicide. that's some reverse houdini shit /joke I almost included in the last ASGTH chapter
