Ok, something I've realized as weird is that we've seen Ash meet his girlfriend (probably) three separate times. Once in Ash's Tale from Fuga 3, once in chapter 82.5 of the manga and then yet again in The Illustrations. And like, iirc, we only saw Ash also meet Pyrock and Psyche once, that being in The Illustrations.

Like, I get that Tiere is a cute dog gal and ya wanna focus on her cause she'd obviously be more popular than the other two, but because the manga went out of its way to have a .5 chapter dedicated just to Ash meeting her I'm led to believe that it's really important that we know how she feels about Ash.

My guess is that we're gonna find out that Carmine is in fact a Marzipan, and he's descended from Ash and Tiere specifically. And given some other shit, I think the generational gap between them is a short as none.

I just know even in a fan au that permits them a "normal" familial relationship, the Marzipan infighting has gotta go crazy hard. Three siblings engaging in like 35 layers of "I saw you would do that so I changed the future" "I saw that you would see that so I changed the future" etc etc

And apparently Mei is just cracked to the point she'd win every time regardless but the sibling brawls would still go super hard.

For them, anyway, for everyone else it's probably decided in like 5 seconds, and in the most mundane, "won't get anyone yelled at by parents" way.
