lana reluctantly watched as isaiah placed a kiss to the corner of ashley’s mouth and then walked out the door, leaving just the two girls alone in the main offices of the headquarters. she’s had to deal with these butt crazy in-love lunatics for long, but now that they were living together it’s only gotten more sickening to see how they act around each other. as if there was no one else around but them, they were the only two people in the world. it’s so bad that even verena and julian don’t bother her this much.  “you guys are disgusting. you're aware of that, right?”  instead of giving ashley a chance to answer, she continued on with her complaints,  “you’re like a full-on married couple and i’m sorry but i refuse to have another maxwell in this office.”    (  @ashcohens​  )

naomi wanders in to the hq, setting her things down on her desk and heading straight for the  ‘break room’  area of the building. she looks through the fridge and finds nothing, letting out a disappointed sigh she closes it and looks through the cupboard, finding a bag of chips and instantly brightening her mood. she turns to return to her desk when she runs into ashley, a large smile now present on her face.   “  hey mrs. maxwell.  ”  naomi greets, sitting down in the closest seat to ashley.     //     @ashcohens

@ashcohens ! “ ash... ” he comes up behind her and covers her eyes with his hands, deepening his voice as he talks to her, “ guess who? ” isaiah asks before letting out a playful laugh and taking his hands from her face, leaning down to place a kiss on her lips before leaning against her desk. “ i’m bored. let’s do something. ”

apparently, the universe wanted ashley and julian to stay close. after attending the same high school and going to the same college, they ended up living a block away from each other. so close, in fact, that it took julian less than three minutes on his skateboard to ride down the sidewalk and cross the street, heading straight into ashley’s apartment complex. he was still dressed in his pajamas – only a t-shirt and sweatpants, but that was nothing unusual. he had time to throw on a pair of shoes before shooting out the front door, and kept his phone in his hand the whole time, though he grabbed nothing else on his way out. it took him a moment to find the blonde’s apartment, but once he arrived, he started knocking–loudly. the girl opened the door and julian didn’t hesitate to walk inside. “what’s wrong?” he set the skateboard down by the door, trying to get a good look at her. “are you okay? what’s going on?” he was breathing heavily, practically panting from the rushed ride over, but was slowly catching his breath back.

"do you want another mix?” standing up from ashley’s couch, zach half-danced his way towards the kitchen, throwing the question over his shoulder to the blonde he left behind. “or maybe a soda? orrrrr–” he picked up the bottle of tequila they haphazardly left open on the counter, “eh? just have at it?” he waved it around, showing it off to ashley while awaiting her answer.

“so ..” lana spoke up, trying her best to not let there be any silence what-so-ever between the two of them. it didn’t matter what she said, it’d still be better than awkwardly staying quiet. if this were months ago, she wouldn’t want anything but silence–––– things have definitely changed. she crossed her arms and leaned over on the table, “i heard there’s going to be a new investigation soon. do you know anything about it yet?” ( @ashcohens )

ashley had done the impossible–the blonde girl opened up the door to let julian into her apartment, and she somehow looked smaller than the last time they saw each other. the already thin girl seemed more hollow and tired, dark circles growing under he eyes. everything considered, she could have looked worse. “hey, ash,” the greeting was accompanied by a gentle hug, julian not staying in the embrace long. “i would have grabbed some food or something,” he started to explain, feeling a bit guilty for showing up empty-handed, “but i didn’t know what’d you be in the mood for. we could just ubereats something over though.”

“ashley?” after days of not hearing anything from her, seeing anything posted online, or even anyone else talking about her, julian walked into the starbucks just off campus, and saw the blonde sitting at a table alone. before even asking if he could, julian took a seat across from her, leaning in close. “ash, where have you been? i tried texting you, like… a shit ton.” the boy shook his head, smiling for a second. “okay, well, more like three times. i didn’t want to bug you. i figured you had enough going on…” julian titled his head, the smile now gone. “how’ve you been?”
