Clive may have been the heir to his fathers fortune, but that didn't mean he wanted to adhere to the Old Money traditions. Arranged marriage? Really? At least they would be given a chance to get to know each other before they would be wed. The woman, his father told him, was named Gwendolyn Avalon. Clive had seen her at different functions, and admitted she was a beautiful woman. Long brown hair and bright green eyes made her a welcome respite from the dark hair and dark eyes of the town. Pacing, Clive straightened his tie when he heard her arrive. It would be the first of many visits the two of them would have, in order to get to know one another and plan the wedding ceremony.
