yeah! while i do honestly like a vast selection of characters, i do have a ‘type’ for characters i tend to enjoy writing and that i am actually good at writing in my opinion, can pick up right away sort of thing. i like characters that subvert your expectations of them, or the expectations of the other characters. i like characters that are more on the darker side, whether that be design wise, personality wise, or backstory wise. i have a soft spot for characters with tragic backstories but arent like, using it as an excuse to be a general prick or eventually overcome that prickishness through ~character development~. characters that wield some sort of authority and wear it with style. cocky, sassy characters. magnificent bastards. sly little bastards. rags to riches type story arcs for characters. honestly i seem to be drawn to characters that visually, are very striking and idk, i guess kinda edgy? lol. but like, thats where subversion ties in, i love characters that look like they will be edgy assholes but are actually happy go lucky and/or kind and friendly. also i cant resist a pyromancer man. if a character got fire powers, i love em. but in general i like a whole variety of characters, i bet if i made a list of all my favorite characters from media you’d start to see some patterns, but overall i really just love a well written, well designed character at the end of the day.

This is my OG squad who’ve been with me nearly from the start of my RP experience on tumblr... what, 4 or 5 years ago? Like from the first blog. They’re getting a section for mentions just because they’re the ones that got me this far, and without them I may not have stuck with the hobby on this site? You never know! They’re different levels of active these days compared to me. But I still consider them great friends ooc and I’ve met a few in person. One owes me chocolate to this day. And the other is a fellow radgineer.

One thing they all have in common is they’re extremely compelling writers and I’ve come up with some incredible plotlines and worlds with each of them. So, to all you fucks? Thanks, I guess. :V

The correspondence was not entirely expected, but the reception of the letter and small crystal dragon were well received, placed among other nearly arranged curios in her otherwise chaotically organized apartment. As such, the meeting at Shrike's Nest was equally welcome. Dressed on the side of casually formal as her wardrobe oft allowed, she waited in the establishment for the princes, idly sending a message to them about her arrival over phone.

“...interview me?” Rung adjusts his glasses with one hand, holding his new peony seedling in the other. He’s been filmed for Rewind’s documentary, of course, and has even appeared once or twice in the Lost Light Insider (”What does Rong really keep in all those secret compartments? We don’t know, but we sure can guess!”), but he’s never been properly interviewed for (what he assumes to be) a legitimate newspaper before.

He gives an embarrassed smile and glances away. He can’t for the life of him figure out why this humanoid would want to interview him.

“My overall impression has been very positive.” It’s a lovely way to make newcomers feel welcome, even if part of him suspects that this particular activity is more about scanning people’s internal mechanisms and recording the data than it is about matching them to a plant. Or perhaps the powers above think that giving their captives something to take care of will keep them busy. They wouldn’t necessarily be wrong; Rung, at least, is determined to keep his new plant alive and well for as long as he’s here.

“I’ve been to three of these events so far, and they’ve all been very enjoyable. But-- but you must understand that I’m very new here. I doubt your readers want to hear what I think.”

“What about you? Have you taken part in the festival yourself? I’m sure you have far more interesting thoughts about all of this than I do.”

The fact that this guy is able to survive with wounds like this is pretty remarkable. Sure, they’re small cuts here and there, puncture wounds around and bite marks and such, but it’s enough to get anyone to bleed out enough and probably snuff it. Yet, here he is, breathing no problem. “Alright, I’ve already called over someone to heal your wounds. You should be fine in no time,” And as if right on queue Juan Najera is here to heal Lorian’s wounds, “Stay still if you may.” His accent his thick but hopefully the injured being can understand. It takes about a minute for those wounds to heal up, “There you go. Get some rest though. You’ll need it.” With that Juan is checking for anything else he may need to do for Lorian before leaving him and Romanus behind,  “Did you need anything? Like water or...OR are you hungry?

“Weee~!” Being small and light did have it’s perks. Sliding across the ice was much more fun when you could do it so easily. Forget viewing the koi, My Melody just wanted to slide around and play with the physics of it all. Though, being the absentminded little girl that she was, she'd hardly been paying attention to the people around her. She’d bump into them and keep on sliding. Though, no one seemed to care, because she was so small-- lucky for her.

She took out her parasol and began to pretend that she was a famous ice skater. Twirling around, using the parasol as a ‘fancy’ tool to make herself look more extravagant in her turns and loops. Then suddenly, all of the skating and looping was cut short when she finally bumped into someone that halted her movements instead of keeping her sliding along. “Yaan...” She fell back onto her behind, then shook her head before looking up at-- oh! “Hello mister Lothric, Lorian!  ...Ah, omigosh... My Melo didn’t hurt you did she?”

Days past, and while things hadn’t show any sign of changing, Mizi had stopped crying. One could only cry for so long after all. Being in someone else’s body was not kosher, and he didn’t enjoy it. But for the time being he was going to do his best to “tough” it out. And that meant not having a breakdown every other day while being subjected to this. Whatever this was meant to be. After discussing things with Edgar, he had felt, somewhat better. Less guilty for this thing he couldn’t control, but he still worried. Worried for himself, his friends, other people he knew that might’ve been suffering from the same problem.

But as it turned out, not everyone had the same jarring reaction as he did. Edgar was calm about it, and some others seemed to actually enjoy it. Well, good for them, right? He sent messages to several people he knew and they replied, reassuring Mizi that they were fine, and it was frustrating. Frustrating because he felt alone in this situation. He didn’t want to subject anyone to his complaints if they didn’t want to listen, but he still felt as though he deserved to vent about it, at least a little.

Perhaps they might understand. Mizi hadn’t checked in on them in quite sometime, not after he had been so busy with the bakery. But he didn’t have time to feel guilty about that now. He just hoped they weren’t being subjected to this body swapping nonsense like he was.

[sms]: Hey, it’s me!

[sms]: I don’t know if you’re aware of what’s going on the city but everyone is body swapping with one another

[sms]: It got me too. :( A few days ago. I’ve been trying to get used to it.

[sms]: are you and your brother holding up okay??

[sms]: some people seem cool with this and I don’t understand HOW

He attempted to keep his messages casual and unassuming, but it was difficult. As he typed up a few more texts, he erased them before sending.

⚜ What... was she seeing? What...? Farnese wasn’t able to fully grasp how different this place she suddenly found herself in was from home. The few inches of progress she made were quickly shattered the next day and she had been in that damned cycle for what seemed to be a week. As much as she saw these ‘electronic’ devices, they didn’t fail to be... alien to her.

Yet... why were they attached to a dog’s body? Her face stared blank, emanating pure worry. Just as she was starting to get used enough to her ward to go outside, this whole island just kept reminding her of how off everything was. 

The trance, though, seemed to disappear briefly as a projected shadow covered the Netpup. Her face turned around to glance at its source. Was she accompanied?
