The other person talking about voice acting PoR characters reminds me that I've started streaming my blind playthrough of PoR/RD for a friend who loves these games, and I also voice act each character (except Leanne cause I can't read the ancient language font and my friend can). Voice acting highlights in this case include:

Sothe has as deep of a voice as I can possibly manage, because when he was introduced as an off-screen character marked as ??? we thought he was supposed to Nolan. So we now have the headcanon that along with his growth spurt, Sothe went through one hell of a voice change during puberty

For Ashnard I also went super deep with my voice and also made it kinda a growl, which after some time began to really hurt my throat so I had to change it, so I gave him a Mickey Mouse like super high pitch. That was on the final map and just after Ashnard flew down to talk to Elincia, so we explained it to ourselves as him falling off his wyvern on the way back up on the map and landing crotch-first on the railing.

We recently were at the part where Dheginsea got introduced, and my first instinct was to give him a really deep voice as well, but at that point there was no way I was subjecting myself to that, so instead I gave him a voice like Miss Piggy.

So I spent an entire semester drawing Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn fanart… This is image 1/5 from my series that I’ll be posting more of in the coming days

This is my fav image from this series and the most violent haha. This was originally supposed to be a 6 image series beginning with Greil’s death in PoR, but it got shortened to 5. I cut that one because it sucked and would’ve had to redraw it. Anywho I reimagined Elincia as being more of a girlboss because I believe her defeating Ashnard is more significant for her character. Also Lucia is there because lesbians. Here are the very rough sketches of the cut image and this one

Do you ever think about how Ashnard allows Branded to rise through though the ranks of society, which no one else does? Like, the “Mad” King of Daein who believes that those that are strong should be allowed to be rewarded for this strength, and so allows an opppresed minority to take power?

This is supposedly in the story where Ashnard is “the most evil ruler” (according to the canon) and yet I’m watching him in every decision he makes not caring about the racism against the branded. He knows he’s about to welcome the dawn of a new age. He’s willing to stand by the branded as it happens.

But rather than just take them on, he gives them the power their skills merit. He allows Zelgius and Petrine be part of the most powerful Generals of Daein - to have more then they ever could’ve dreamed of.
