when i made character A, who is in a romantic relationship with character B, i didn't reveal character A was asexual until they were already in a relationship. they said, "oh, is character B okay with that?" as if character B has any say in character A's orientation.

as an asexual person this skeeves me out like nobody's business, especially since i'm in a position where i might have to marry someone who will make me do things i don't want to do, even though i don't want to marry them in the first place.

and they keep saying stuff like romantic love is for everyone and that someone you're in a romantic relationship with is the most important person to you absolutely ever. and that you're alone when you don't have a significant other, even if you have friends and family you care about and who care about you deeply.

as an aromantic person this is also really upsetting. i have enough bad feelings about being aromantic already, their additions are...not...necessary.

and a lot of the time i'm not comfortable talking about extremely sexual things. i'm afraid that if i do ask them to please not do so while i'm there, they might construe that as me shaming them or something. it's not that, they have the right to talk about what they like! however it personally makes me uncomfortable.
