I started my practice this morning with a lot of doubt, uncertainty and anger. Over the weekend, I found out about something someone said that made me feel very disappointed. And overnight, it developed into anger. . Over the years, I’ve learnt that days when I feel like skipping the mat because I feel emotionally heavy are the days that I should not skip the mat. So I dragged myself out of bed, did my breathing exercises, seated meditation, and then started my ashtanga practice. Initially it was all over the place. I couldn’t stop thoughts from bouncing off each other creating a flurry of emotions. But by the time I got to this part, the ashtanga ‘just-get-on-with-it’ attitude kicked in. . I can’t control what people say or do. But I can control my actions and my reactions. I can let it keep bothering me, and act out on my emotions, letting it drain me in the process. Or I can just get on with it. . So I got on with it. And by the time I got to headstand, I felt centered again. . . . . . #justgetonwithit #practiceandalliscoming #ashtangayoga #ashtangaprimaryseries #ashtangiwannabe #ashtanga #bhujapidasana #ashtangatransition #yogatransition #fireflypose #yogaflow #vinyasaflow #practiceyogachangeyourworld #onebreatheatatime #sgyoga #yogisofig #yogisofinstagram #igyogacommunity #igyogafam #igyogisunite #yogaeveryblessedday #keeppracticing #realyogapractice #yogagirl #float #strongyogi
