💡 3. Has creating a character ever made you realize something about yourself?

Shit man oh my GOD. That I wish I could snark half as good as Ean? NGL tho, Delilah’s INSANE need for control and getting everything right is a pretty exaggerated trait of mine-- if it’s not done right, don’t bother doing it at all. Lila takes it to the 11 though. It took me years working on her to realize that it’s really something I do and it’s something I consistently believe.

(Alrek’s workaholic nature was something I imparted on him tho, sorry dude)

💎 18. Is there anything you really wish you could do, character-design-wise, that you feel is outside your current skillset? A concept that you wish you could pull off but are uncertain about?

Writing a convincing enough villain. A lot of the antagonists of mine could easily be heroes of their own story if the spotlight was focused on them-- they aren’t bad people, their goals oppose the main character’s. And for a lot of people that alone makes for a good villain, but I have a habit of writing my characters into a self-redemption arc, none of them ever stay ‘bad’ and suffer for their actions. Maybe that says something about me?
