FLAG NEWS: Ongoing Transition
On the 7th of December, 2024, the government of Syria was overthrown by revolutionaries, putting an end to the Assad regime and, hopefully, the civil war. A transitional government was put in place, alongside a de facto flag change.
Flag of Syria from 1980-2024: Flag of Syria from 2024-present:
Both flags use the Pan-Arab colours, with red, white, black and green each representing a historical Islamic Caliphate. The old flag originated from a time when Egypt and Syria were united. It is based on the flag of Egypt, with two green stars added for the two nations. Syria kept this flag even after the union dissolved.
The new flag is actually the older of the two, with the design dating to the First Syrian Republic, founded in 1930. The flag was adopted upon Syria's independence from France, and is therefore associated with freedom by the opposition, who repurposed it for the revolution.
could I request a term for one who's gender is both menaverique and juxera for chinese-indonesians like me :3
Here are the links:
Menaverique: https://www.google.com/amp/s/everythingarchive.tumblr.com/post/755093924761288704/amp
Juxera: https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Juxera
ofc! I mixed the colors from both flags into one,and then added the white jasmine flower as a representation of being Indonesian, and the stars to represent being chinese ! I hope you like it :D
can i just say. viet nam has quite possibly the worst flag of any country.
get a load of this. it’s a star. that’s it. and i know somalia does this too but at least they have nice colours. red and yellow are literally the two most common colours on flags. this could be the flag of damn near any country. this is like if the 👤 profile picture were a flag. some flags are ugly but at least ugly can be endearing. this is the most uninspired flag in the history of flags, maybe ever. like i know gold stars and red flags are a communist symbol but like. i know you can do better than that. please do better than that. i would pay to redesign this. steven universe ass flag
Flags of Asia
The public banner is an image or symbol of a nation, and consequently it addresses a country. On this subject there are the Flags of Asia of every sovereign country, except for Tibet, which is authoritatively the Tibet Independent District and part of PR China. Macau and Hong Kong are extraordinary authoritative districts (SAR) of Individuals' Republic of China (PRC). Taiwan, authoritatively the Republic of China (ROC) , oversees the island of Taiwan. PR China thinks about Taiwan authoritatively as one of its regions.

Looking at Flags of Asia you can clearly observe that the most of them have a dominance of the red color. Some have an absolutely red background, many are with the red strips, triangles or disks. This color has a deep meaning in the Asian culture.
