25. Any kinks that you’d love to try in real life?
Oh man idk I’m secretly SUPER SUPER vanilla irl and I’ve tried basically everything I’m comfortable with uuuuuuuuuh. There are also a lot of things I’m very into fanfic that wouldn’t be exactly practical in real life? (I have a secret weakness for identity porn in the literal sense, tell no one) So, yes, that is a rambly non-answer for you!
36. Do you like crossovers? If so, favorite crossover?
Okay so I have… very complicated feelings about crossovers that are totally irrational and I acknowledge that they are irrational but just, yeah. To avoid confusion with terms because I am well aware that there’s some disparity in these between different fandoms/fandom experiences, I’m gonna go ahead and define crossover v. fusion as I understand them before we begin.
crossover: fic where either two universes merge or one set of characters is added to the cast in one universe of the chosen media sources. Basically, anything where characters from different fandoms meet.
fusion: fic where characters from one universe are thrown into the world of another universe. No characters from the different universes meet.
Okay so basically crossovers are a weird inexplicable squick for me, I absolutely cannot stand it when characters from different universe meet, I can’t read it at all and I will backbutton out like nobody’s business. Like I said, totally irrational, I ADMIT IT BUT I CAN’T CHANGE IT. So, yeah. It’s not something I would ever condemn anyone for creating or enjoying because I have no, like, ~moral issues~ with it, I just really don’t enjoy reading it.
I do really enjoy certain fusions, because I can pretty comfortably read them as AUs and ALL IS WELL~
I’m afraid I can’t really think of any fusion fics I’ve read recently enough to easily recall and I lump them with all other “Alternate Universe” tagged fics in my bookmarks so I can’t easily find them, but I do like them!
