The FW Philharmonic kicked off the 2018-19 season with a performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem. It was a great experience working with Choral Director, Benjamin Rivera and Philharmonic Conductor Andrew Constantine who actually studied under Benjamin Britten. I managed to get a selfie with Benjamin Rivera back stage, but I forgot to ask Andrew when he stopped me back staged to congratulate me on my first performance with the Philharmonic Organization. To be Networking with such extremely talented individuals is a blessing indeed. I thank them all for welcoming me. To sing and perform with other performers at such a level in music has been very enlightening and personally validating. Now the War Requiem is behind me, I was selected to sing in the Christmas Holiday Pops concert at the Embassy in Dec. I’m singing for my super y’all! Be blessed. While I await the release of my Rnb/Hip Hop album Rebirth on FamousRecords/UMG this Fall 2018, I also find myself pursuing other endeavors. I’m currently singing Tenor 1 with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Chorus this 2018-19 season. The season will include: War Requiem by Benjamin Britten, Handel’s Messiah, and later in the season Bizet’s Carmen. Since I plan to return to Grad School for my Masters in Vocal Performance in a few yrs, I am excited to have this opportunity to work with Chorus Conductor Benjamin Rivera and FW Philharmonic Conductor Andrew Constantine.
