if no ones asked already, could you do 15 and 16? with like, light angst? i want to hurt as little as possible
Is this light angst? I have no idea,,, *hugs* just in case, lmao.Sorry for the long wait!____“Is this what we’re doing now, silent treatment and ignoring each other?” Aizawa asked as he took a seat next to his husband, placing his hand on the younger man’s lap and trying to get his attention.
They didn’t fight very often, but when they did it wasn’t anything fun; it was irritating especially since now they were married and lived in the same house, walking around on eggshells wasn’t fun, becoming irritated every time they glanced at each other wasn’t fun and neither was acting like children and not choosing to talk about it.
“At least let’s talk about it Izu,”
Izuku folded his arms, his face set in a permanent scowl as he looked everywhere else but at Aizawa. His body was tense, his feet were still and not tapping against the floor like they usually did and his freckles were darker as if they were angry too.
Aizawa’s hand slipped from his thigh and he leaned back into the couch, his head tilting up until his eyes met the ceiling fan, “Maybe taking time off work was the right thing to do,” he muttered, because that was what had caused this disagreement between them in the first place.
Being in a relationship and a hero at the same time wasn’t something one could easily juggle; it took effort and patience, it needed complete understanding and patience just like any other relationship but just a pint more.
Izuku’s face, however, seemed to grow darker and he stood quickly; his movement a blur to Aizawa. Tanned arms were caught and gripped by pale hands, Aizawa’s black eye shook with worry as he studied his partner’s face, “I’m worried about you. You're not being yourself tonight and you haven’t been yourself lately; you’re always angry Izuku, tell me,” hs right grip loosened and trailed up to cup Izuku’s freckled cheek, “what's wrong?”
“How am I usually then?” Izuku choked out, his green eyes squinted and regarding Aizawa with judgement.
His lips twitched upwards before he spoke, the hand cupping Izuku’s face was joined by another, “What’s wrong ?”
“You pulled me from my mission Shouta! That’s what’s wrong! I was this close,” he poked him in the chest repeatedly, then it turned into fists; annoyed punches onto his chest, “I was close to saving her and you pulled me back!”Aizawa stood there, taking it, not saying a word. “Izuku you couldn’t have saved her, the risks, the possibility of you-”
“IT’S MY JOB SHOU, IT’S OUR DAMN JOB AND THIS-THIS FEAR THAT YOU HAVE OF ME DYING LET IT GO! YOU’RE HOLDING ME BACK AND I DON’T WANT TO BE HELD BACK.”
Aizawa’s face fell, the millions of the emotions he had been keeping his check all rushed on his face in a go anger, fear, worry, irritation, sadness all wrapped and consuming him, “I am not holding you back. If anything this your fault!”
“Constantly putting your life on the line even when you don’t have to! You’re illogical nowadays! Rash and you think that everything will work out. Well that damn stigma you have in your mind is affecting this Izuku It’s affecting what we have and I’m trying to preserve it.”
“Are you saying I’m to blame?!”
“I’m saying you’re THE REASON THIS IS BREAKING APART. We’re not trying hard enough, we’re-we’re letting out emotions get in the way and if it wasn’t for you and you-you making me soft—” His face curled and twisted into one of anger and without a thought he uttered: “we would have been just fine.”
Izuku’s face fell and his lips formed words before he could think, “Then why did you marry me?”
