worst job you've had and why? and best job?

Worst job i think i ever had was my one day on a Christmas tree lot. It was my first time up close with seasonal workers, who sure do come in some interesting flavors. One crusty old dude opened by asking me if i was a Christian. When i said no, he said "we'll fix that." So, good start.

I have never been athletic, so picking up and hauling around trees was not an ideal gig. But I'd recently gotten into the world of drugs, so i had to get some walkin around money some how. My day on the job ended maybe 90 minutes into arriving, when i dropped a Christmas tree into a thigh high pile of other trees. It bounced, and the trunk thumped me in the stones.

I didn't throw up, but i couldn't really walk either, much less carry more trees. The guy in charge refused to pay me, and i was happy to leave anyway.

Best job is the one i have right now. I'm the tech librarian for a library in a small town. its a right wing shithole post industrial town, but the people who use the library are pretty cool.

hai hello favorite song please?

i listen to too much music, and too much stupid music that's wildly different from other stupid music, to easily pick a favorite song. So here's the one that's been stuck in my head for several days.

I got to open for them once at gilman and that was pretty cool. then i saw them open for anti flag a year later, which is less cool now but was a good show. I got dropped on my head crowd surfing that night, which was caught on video and is very funny to me.

The bassist (doug?) could play like a motherfucker. He was pretty drunk for the AF show though. He played perfectly, about a quarter of a second too slow.

do you have like a "signature dish" that yu'd make for people if you have a bunch of time and are feeling fancy? and if so what is it? :3

I used to work at a Hawaiian fast food place as a teenager, and i got pretty good at making musubi. It's got spam in it though so people don't think it's fancy. You can put in whatever protein as long as it's flat enough though
