So there’s five elements; fire, air, earth, water, and dark energy. There are special powers tied to each
The fire controller is called a Firestarter. Jessica is a Firestarter, and her powers are generating/maintaining fire, withstanding incredible amounts of heat without burning or sustaining injury, breathing fire, manipulating magma, lava, and volcanoes, and melting objects with her mind
With their powers come great responsibility physical attributes. Jessica, for instance, has vitiligo and the marks take the shape of flames. When generating fire, her hair turns bright red, and once she stops, it goes back to blonde
The water controller is called an Aquamage. Searra is an Aquamage and her powers are summoning water and manipulating it (using the moisture in the air), breathing under water, walking on water, dehydrating and rehydrating plants, animals, and people, frost breath, controlling snow, and shooting ice from her hands. Ice is tied in with water because it’s a different state of water
Her physical attribute is that she has blue hair that she cannot dye or bleach, it’s stuck that colour forever, but she can still cut it
Dark energy controllers are called Starchasers. Keith is a Starchaser and while dark energy is a hard thing to come up with powers for, his powers are limited time rewinding, mind reading, manipulation of emotions, telekinesis, healing (not necromancy), telepathy, becoming a shadow, manipulating shadows, light absorption, absorbing life force & giving it back, and dark energy blasts
His physical attributes are his pupils have minuscule stars in them, though this doesn’t affect Keith’s vision. When he controls dark energy, his eyes turn completely black. When he got his powers, a black heart mark appeared on his chest like a tattoo. Sometimes he swears it beats along with his actual heart, but he’s probably just seeing things...
Earth controllers are called Earthmancers. Aidan is an Earthmancer and his powers are rapidly growing plants, bringing dead plants back to life, communicating with nature (plants and animals), creating golems out of rocks, wood, plants, etc, controlling the earth (soil, rocks, plants, etc), and animal mimicry/shapeshifting into animals
His physical attributes are the plants growing out of his head, he is usually accompanied by many insects, much to the disgust of his peers (not technically an attribute but still). His favourite of these companions is a black widow he named Solaris. When he becomes emotional, flowers grow around him. The type of flower is determined by mood, and the abundance is determined by how strongly he feels
Air controllers are called Windseekers. Selene is a Windseeker and her powers are creating strong winds (or gentle breezes), changing the temperature, creating storms (hurricanes, tornadoes, etc), summoning/depleting oxygen, flight, divination via wind currents, and vortex breath (think Kirby but outward instead of inward
Her physical attributes are her long white feathered wings (which she can hide at will) and her irises glowing bright blue when she creates storms
