You may ask me why I hate bending, when I myself am a bender.  It is because I am a bender, that causes my grief.  Non-benders are born with a chance, to prove that they within their own power are perfect.  Yet some may not realize this and think that it is the benders who are privileged.  But it is not so, for no bender is uncorrupted.  If they themselves don't abuse their bending the ones around them will.  They can force them to do terrible things.  Terrible things to their own families.  I myself do not belong in this world, but I cannot depart from it until every bender is rid of their curse.  So the world can once more have peace.  Bending is no longer needed.

But brother it might be too late for us, we speak of a bright future but leave nothing but more scars.  Our cries for freedom are nothing but hypocritical rants.  We were not the heroes we wished to be.  We need not fear though, as one door closes another door opens and we can once more claim our places in a new beginning!  A glorious tale may still unfold before us!  But you and I both know that we no longer can believe in our own words.  The world has reached it's peace and has moved on without us, and our pasts will still haunt us no matter how fast we run.  Yes my brother, I forgive you...and it is now time for us to rest.
