For the fanfic asks: 2, 4, 11, 15 and 20
2. Is there any specific ritual you go through while/before/after your writing?
Not really. Maybe if I had a ritual I could sit down and write more often, but alas, I mostly just go when I have the inspiration and wish I was writing when I don’t haha.
4. Are there any other fic writers you admire? If so, who and why?
Love u darling *winky face*
I think anyone who can write an epic, sprawling 100K epic story is pretty impressive, no matter what fandom it is. Someday I’d like to get there, but keeping the momentum going for that long...man, I just don’t know how they do it tbh.
11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?
I once had an idea for a story where Wes and Travis had a condition where they became intangible in times of stress or depression--basically living ghosts. I really like the concept but honestly couldn’t come up with a solid story, so it never went anywhere.
15. Your guilty writing pleasure?
I can’t think of anything. I have a lot of guilty daydream pleasures, but none of them have ever been put to paper. Mostly I just write what comes to mind.
20. 4 sentences from your work that you’re proud of
This is a hard one! I love so many passages I’ve written, but specific lines...
1. It has been a very long time since he’s looked out a window and seen the world painted in shades of wonder; but he finds himself looking outside more and more, as though maybe if he just looks hard enough he can see the things she loves so much. - A Cage Of Gilded Thorns
2. And Travis idly wonders if it’s been so long that despite the transient nature of the hotel Wes has settled in, that Wes can’t bring himself to move. He’s different from Travis that way. Wes never learned to let go. - Smiling, with porcelain lips and glass eyes
3. “Once upon a time,” she sing-songed, running her fingers up his chest, “a little boy died, and Wes pulled his heart out of his chest and bled over everyone he touched, in the hopes that it would wash the blood off his hands." - my soul from out that shadow
4. “Times have changed, man. He’s not so bad once you get used to him,” Travis says gently.
“I will pour salt in your bike engine, I swear!”
“He’s a horrible bastard and I hate him on good days,” Travis corrects without missing a beat. - Mistaken Identity, because this little back-and-forth never fails to make me laugh
