₊🍓‧₊˚ BLOG (&LIFE) UPDATE!

HELLO EVERYONE! this is an update concerning this blog, the haechan fic that many people have been waiting for, and the ongoing riize situation and the future content in which they are expected to appear in on this blog.

i. LIFE UPDATE

i have been away since the beginning of september, i have been through a lot mentally and physically. i had to help my mother with moving across countries, dealing with paperwork and we’re still not halfway done with stuff yet. i dont know how many of you guys have been around since that moment, but this summer my dad passed away (for reference), so it's been a rough time — and as time passed it only got worse. i'm still dealing with grief and everything is hard to process still. if anyone has tips about dealing with this, please let me know, i'd love to hear from people who have gone through the same. i briefly moved back to live with my mom in light of recent events, and am still living with her as we’re trying to sort our lives out and still struggling with grief. i’ll go back to my life but i have to make sure my mom is well (as she’s suffered from an illness as well in the past, so she’s not 100% healthy), while dealing with some health related issues on my own.

ii. WHO IS IT RELEASE DATE

this fic has been haunting me for MONTHS, and must have been doing the same to you guys as well i guess :)

when i tried posting it in september, tags and the taglist didn’t work. while trying to work things out and make all work, life problems got in the way and i swear i’ve never felt that depressed in years. maybe it was because of all the problems i encountered while still grieving, because it would be so easy to deal with grief if life issues didn’t get in the way, right?

WHO IS IT is going to get posted on nov 3rd, as i’m rewriting a scene and cutting another one off entirely (and maybe adding another one instead, who knows). drop by if you have any other questions about this fic or the series it is a part of (i promise i do not bite, and i’ll get back to you as soon as i find the time!) additionally, i will be reopening the taglist.

iii. RIIZE

RIIZE is 7. point blank. i do not care for ot6, and as far as i’m concerned if you are an ot6 stan please do not interact with me, engage with or consume any of my upcoming riize content. what ot6 did showed signs of clear mental illness. you have to be deranged to think that that boy owes anyone anything, and that RIIZE themselves do not support seunghan. they supported his return and that’s that. by acting this way, fans and SMent itself set an unhealthy example for the entirety of the kpop industry. choosing not to side with the victim (because seunghan IS the victim here) they clearly approved of a parasocial, toxic behaviour of entitlement that these “fans” will only go further on to show. this can literally happen to any other idol, and i sincerely hope no other fandom has to go through this.

i want to make my stance regarding this situation very clear, and i am honestly telling you guys i joined in on the boycott. as much as i love the members, i unfollowed and blocked the riize and smtown accounts, but i did this because i do care about them. i will not consume their media, their content, and i’m listening to their music on spotify from podcast episodes. the only kind of media involving them that i WILL be consuming are fics because it supports the writers and not sm. not only does sm keep disrespecting their artists, but they disregard the international fans as well. so i think the boycott is well deserved. i will keep writing for the members, including seunghan, but i’m not sure if i’ll write right away or if i’ll be taking some time to get to them. “CHICAGO” (sungchan’s instalment in the JUKEBOX SUNDAYS series) was supposed to be released right after WHO IS IT, but i’m not sure what to do as of right now. nevertheless, all riize fics that were previously planned, will be posted. check the JS series masterlist for teaser and release dates as it will be constantly updated.

iv. FUTURE OF THIS BLOG

from now on, this will be a writing blog only. for fic recs please follow my other side blog destined for recommendations @kongjjen-recs.

from october 21st to nov 3rd i will be posting 4 new teasers for the JUKEBOX SUNDAYS series, with planned release dates and individual taglist forms available. so please check the series masterlist post for all future updates in case you feel like you missed posts or updates from me. general taglist for the series is always open!
