I don't like many right wingers or their beliefs but I'm more afraid of living in a world where it's socially acceptable to kill people for their beliefs (religious, political, personal, etc.) than I am of any innocent law-abiding person who I may disagree with about something.
Yeah, real. And he wasn't an extremist, he was a middle of the road conservative guy who by all accounts was kind and respectful unless you mocked him or God. And he just talked to people. He wasn't a threat and he didn't represent some sort of awful idea like fascism. The shooter is trying to send a message by this that ANYONE seen being conservative isn't safe, and folks are celebrating it loudly. :/
I'm STILL a liberal btw, my values have not changed that much as the political landscape has rapidly shifted in recent years to paint a lack of outright leftism as conservatism. :/
